Die Via Verde Mallorca verbindet Manacor und Artà auf einer rund 29 Kilometer langen, ehemaligen Bahntrasse, die heute als Rad- und Wanderweg dient. Die Strecke ist grösstenteils asphaltiert oder geschottert und weist nur geringe Steigungen auf, was sie ideal für Familien, Genussradler und Wanderer macht.
Start ist Manacor, bekannt für seine Keramik und lebendige Atmosphäre. Von hier führt die Via Verde durch ruhige Landschaften mit Feldern, Pinienwäldern und mediterraner Macchia. Besonders im Frühling und Herbst zeigt sich die Natur in voller Blüte. Ein Highlight ist der gut beleuchtete Túnel de Sa Torre, der ein besonderes Erlebnis auf der Strecke bietet.
Ziel ist Artà, eine charmante Kleinstadt mit historischer Altstadt und der Wallfahrtskirche Sant Salvador auf einem Hügel. Hier laden Restaurants und Cafés zum Verweilen ein.
Die Via Verde ist gut ausgeschildert und bietet unterwegs Rastplätze. Für Radfahrer ist sie dank der sanften Steigungen und des guten Untergrunds bestens geeignet, auch E-Bikes sind beliebt. Wanderer können die Strecke in Etappen erkunden.
Insgesamt ist die Via Verde Mallorca eine perfekte Kombination aus Natur, Kultur und entspanntem Outdoor-Erlebnis abseits der grossen Touristenströme.
