The mild Mediterranean climate makes touring pleasant from spring (almond blossom season) to late autumn (orange, lemon, almond, fig, and olive harvest). A particular highlight for cyclists is the period from February to mid-June and from mid-September to mid-November. There are fewer beach tourists around then and the roads are easy to ride on. Mallorca offers many great cycling routes. The Serra de Tramuntana is a particular highlight for cyclists. Whether along the coast from Pollenca to Andratx, up to the Lluc monastery, Coll de Sabatalla, Sa Calobra, Purto de Söller, or Coll de Soller—it's always worth visiting one of Mallorca's dreamy bays. Many ideal cycling routes lead to the rural center of the island, to well-known villages and marketplaces such as Sineu and Petra.
