The hike starts in the village of Alaró and leads to Castell d'Alaró — a perfect combination of nature and culture.
From the village of Alaró, it goes over the small, idyllic Orient up to the castle ruins at the foot of the 825 meter high Puig d'Alaró. The Castell d'Alaró is a historic castle complex that has been protected as a Spanish cultural monument since 1931. Parts of the ring wall, the entrance gate and the southern main tower have been preserved. The ruin is now owned by the municipality of Alaró, the diocese of Mallorca and a private owner.
Once at the top, you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Mallorca — ideal for a break. A restaurant in the Castell invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
The descent back to Alaró is scenic. A stop at the well-known restaurant Es Verger is ideal for a snack break before heading back to the plain.
This hike combines scenic beauty, historical impressions and culinary highlights into a varied trip.
